Is it Ethical to Force Spirits to MOVE ON?

In my research I have come across a strange phenomenon among Mediums (or those who claim to be). I've been seeing Mediums force spirits to move on (to Heaven or wherever). They even advocate this and teach others to do the same. Some make videos showing a group of dolls being pelted with oils and waters and smokes and prayers while in the post the Medium brags about doing this.

Very seldom do I find anything from that Medium saying that the spirit has requested help with moving on. If the spirit wants to move on and you want to help it do that then by all means go ahead. But a lot of these posts have zero context on whether or not the spirits asked and some even chastise the spirits for not moving on or a spirit not having moved on despite multiple of these sessions to get them to move on.

If a spirit is around, then they might have some unfinished business to attend to or that they need help with, or they just simply don't want to move on. A lot of the child spirits I find just want to hang around their family or want to find another family to be a part of. Some really do have some unfinished business and they want help with that. And some have finished that business and want to move on. I do find that when they want to move on, you will know.

Forcing spirits to move on is, in my opinion, completely unethical. A lot of the Mediums I've seen who force this on spirits have a religious reason for it and believe it is their duty to do so. Placing the ideals of your religion onto a spirit who might not share your ideals is unethical all on its own. You are ignoring their needs and their rights as a person. You've completely taken out their choice. It is even more wrong and completely blows my mind when a spirit resists Moving On and the Medium then chastises them for it. Then they're surprised when the spirit wants to live somewhere else. Uhmmm, duh! I wouldn't want to live in a space where my rights and boundaries are being not only ignored but exploited for likes and views. A lot of them feel violated and gain a mistrust of the living. I had one such spirit come to me after experiencing such an ordeal not once but three times and then was publicly chastised online. The fear I felt from her was insane. It took about a week before she finally started to realize that forcing spirits to move on is not my game at all.

Look, the point of this is... just don't do it. And if you feel you have a religious obligation or any kind of obligation to do it? Get over it. Thats some colonizer-saviour bs. These are people with thoughts and feelings and opinions and amazing jokes and things they want to share with you. Don't be a douche.

*Technically this is all my opinion
